Why this matters

A student project about empathy, access, and belonging.

This site was created to learn how neurodiversity and mental health shape everyday school experiences.

Why this topic was chosen

Many classmates and friends experience the world differently. Understanding those differences helps us be better teammates, lab partners, and friends. Building this site was a way to practice listening and sharing information in a respectful way.

What the creator learned

  • Inclusive language matters. It changes how safe people feel.
  • Accommodations help everyone, not just one group.
  • Listening to lived experience is more valuable than making assumptions.
  • Clear structure and visual calm make information easier to absorb.

Why awareness matters

  • Awareness reduces stigma and encourages collaboration.
  • It helps peers know how to support each other.
  • It reminds educators to design flexible classrooms.
  • It highlights strengths and contributions from neurodivergent people.

Thanks for reading

If something here helps one student feel seen or one teacher try a new support, this project succeeds. Keep learning, keep asking what helps, and keep making space for different brains.
